The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) is seeking judges from the membership of the American Horse Publications.

 

A total of four judges are needed:

 

Layout and Design Awards:  Two judges whose expertise lies in layout and design are needed to judge Newsletters for their overall impact. There will be approximately 25 nominations from Group Member Organizations (GMOs); these are divided into four groups determined by size of GMO membership.

 

“First Person” Awards and “General Interest” Awards: Two professional journalists are needed to judge individual articles submitted by USDF members; a total of approximately 40 articles will be submitted.

 

Judges must not be associated with USDF, any of its GMOs, or members.

 

Judges will receive the nominations, judging criteria, and score cards during the first week of September, directly from USDF. The judges’ decisions are due September 30th.

USDF does not have the resources to pay for judging. However, a hearty acknowledgement and thanks will be extended to all judges, and American Horse Publications, in the official USDF journal Connections, and recognition of the judges made at the USDF Annual Convention in Austin, TX, when the awards are made public in December. This information would also be published on the USDF website.
