FORT WORTH, TEXAS--The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) recently named Cindy Price of Bellaire, Mich., as its official 2008 World Championship Paint Horse Show artist. Price bested 87 other entries from across the U.S. and Canada with her submission, including award-winning and previous World Show artists. Her artwork, which is titled "Painted Beauty," will be unveiled at the premier Paint Horse competition this summer.

The APHA World Show is the largest Paint Horse show on earth, with approximately 2,000 horses from across the globe being exhibited. The show offers each year's winning artist two full weeks of excellent exposure to the Paint Horse community and the public in the North Texas area.

Price's artwork, which features a beautiful head shot of a vividly-colored Paint Horse, will be available during the show at the Colors of the West Gift Show in the APHA General Store booth as a commemorative poster and on official 2008 World Show merchandise. Signed versions of the poster will also be available for purchase. In addition, the piece will be showcased on the cover of the World Show Program.

Cindy Price's previous artwork, much of which features horses, has been selected as the official artwork of Equitana USA and earned multiple awards at events such as the annual Thumb Area Artists Exhibition. To learn more about Price and her work, visit www.cindypriceart.com.

The inspiration for World Championship Paint Horse Show artist Cindy Price's official artwork was Paint mare Pocos Little Colonel, seen here with the artist. Owned by Price's cousin, the bay tobiano is enjoying life today as a broodmare.
