AHP Newsgroup: EquiSearch.com Unveils Improved Site
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GAITHERSBURG, MD – February 12, 2009 – In EquiSearch.com's ongoing effort to provide the best service possible to its users, the Web site team has worked with editors and designers to produce an improved version of the site, which has evolved into the most comprehensive website for horse people since it began in 1995.
The most obvious change visitors will see right on the homepage is the updated size—a wider page designed to be more attractive and easier to read. But delve a bit deeper and check out the magazine sites, HorseandRider.com, EQUUSMagazine.com, PracticalHorsemanMag.com and DressageToday.com, to explore the enhanced online features of these publications. Each magazine sports its own unique look and personality online—and offers special features chosen by the magazine editors in a new section, "At a Glance."
With a Web site offering such a vast array of content—more than 3,300 articles as well as blogs, forums, photo galleries, video clips and more—it's a challenge sometimes to offer readers the easiest ways to find information they seek. But in this redesign the EquiSearch.com team has concentrated on making features such as its popular blogs easier to find. The categories have also been reorganized a bit to make specific subjects easier to find, and the new "My EquiSearch" space allows visitors to easily sign up for newsletters, sweepstakes and contests.
"With this redesign, we are moving our award-winning Web site to a new level in order to better meet the needs of our Internet-savvy audience and to provide more online for our magazines' subscribers," said Susan Harding, Vice President & Group Publishing Director of the Equine Network.
But enough talking about the bigger, better EquiSearch.com—give it a try! Check out the site, from the Top Stories on the homepage to Nancy Jaffer's columns and postcards from competitions to the popular "Horse Talk" blog by Horse & Rider's Juli Thorson. Then let the EquiSearch.com team know what you think by sharing your thoughts in the EquiSearch.com forum.
