The AHP Media Conference Committee is seeking donations for this year’s Chance Auction to be held during the 2026 AHP Media Conference in Lexington, Kentucky at our annual Friday Night Party! In a Chance Auction, attendees purchase tickets, which they place in collection boxes for desired items, and winners are chosen by lottery.
100% of monies gathered via the 2026 Chance Auction ticket purchases will go toward the AHP Student Fund, which provides monetary support for the Annual AHP Student Travel Awards and Equine Media Student Award Winner. Travel Award winners receive cash awards, complimentary conference registration, a year of student AHP membership, and the unique opportunity to participate in our three-day conference and related activities alongside equine media and industry professionals. Since 1993, AHP’s support of student members has helped launch and grow dozens of successful careers, while encouraging bright, motivated, young people to apply their talents in occupations related to the horse world.
We are seeking individual items with a minimum value of $200. Items of $50+ value will be grouped with others to create larger-ticket raffle baskets. Items do not have to be equine-related, and there is particular interest in donations of tickets to events and experiences. Donated items need to be sent or brought to Lexington for the in-person display and auction action at the Conference. Donors will be recognized at the event and in promotion for the Chance Auction and its winners.
We ask that you complete the auction donation form, which allows us to track and package the items up for auction. Please submit your form no later than Friday, May 1, giving sufficient time to prepare our auction forms, create gift packages, and ensure that you are properly recognized.
