American Horse Publications (AHP) is now accepting proposals for educational sessions at the 2026 Equine Media Conference May 14-16 in Lexington, Kentucky. This annual event brings together professionals from across the equine industry, including:
- Equine publishers and media outlets
- Industry-related companies and nonprofits
- Breed and discipline associations
- Freelance writers, photographers, designers, marketers, podcasters, and video producers
Our educational program thrives on peer-to-peer learning. Most sessions are presented by AHP members who attend the conference—sharing their expertise, experiences, and fresh ideas with colleagues from across the equine media and communications world.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome proposals on topics that will engage, inform, and inspire our diverse audience, including but not limited to:
- Media trends and digital storytelling
- Writing, editing, and photography skills
- Marketing, branding, and audience growth
- Association and nonprofit communications
- Video and audio production for equine audiences
- Business development and freelance strategies
- Equine industry research and innovations

How To Submit
AHP is a member-driven organization, and our conference is built by the generosity of members who share their expertise. If you plan on attending the AHP Equine Media Conference, consider sharing your experience with you peers at a breakout session in your area of expertise!
Submit your idea by October 31 to christy.jenkins@easterassociates.com. Include a possible session title, description, and 2-3 objectives you hope participants will learn by attending. Include names and email addresses of any possible co-presenters; teams are welcome and encouraged!
