American Horse Publications Launches Fifth Equine Industry Survey, Sponsored by Zoetis

American Horse Publications (AHP) launches its fifth Equine Industry Survey at www.ahpequineindustrysurvey.com. Horse owners who live in the United States, are 18 years of age and older, and who currently own or manage at least one horse are invited to complete the survey by March 30, 2021.

Applicants for the 2021 AHP Equine Media Student Award must be seniors in high school or an undergraduate matriculated* college student under the age of 25, pursuing a career in equine media during the 2020-2021 school year, with at least one semester remaining before graduation at the time of application. You must have a 2.00 GPA or higher and US or Canada residents.

Barbra Schulte Honored with 2020 Equine Industry Vision Award

Zoetis and American Horse Publications (AHP) announced Barbra Schulte as the recipient of the 2020 Equine Industry Vision Award. “I’m incredibly grateful and honored to be recognized for the work I’ve done throughout my career,” Schulte said. “Seeing the lightbulb and joy people experience when they realize what is truly possible for them is the most rewarding part of my career. This award is about having a vision, and I’m humbled that my peers in the equine industry view me as a visionary.”
Finalists in 2020 AHP Equine Media Awards Released

The release of the finalists in the Equine Media Awards is anticipated by AHP members every year. Of the 111 participants who entered their best material published in 2019, 70 moved forward to placing in the top five in one or more of the 56 classes in the 2020 AHP Equine Media Awards (EMA). The results of the Equine Media Awards will be announced online on May 30, 2020 and a presentation video will be available to view the winning entries. Congratulations to this year’s finalists!
AHP and Zoetis Announce the Finalists for the 2020 Equine Industry Vision Award

AHP and Zoetis congratulate the four finalists named for the 2020 Equine Industry Vision Award: Breyer Horses, Roxanne Durant, Monty Roberts, and Barbra Schulte. The 19th Equine Industry Vision Award winner will be announced on May 29 in a video presentation rather than at the 2020 AHP Equine Media Conference in Lexington, Kentucky, which was cancelled due to the global pandemic.
Until We Meet Again…Texas 2021

The AHP Equine Media Conference was cancelled for 2020 after the Lexington hotel was unable to host the event in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is disappointing news for an association celebrating its 50th anniversary. Through the years, AHP has always created an atmosphere of friendship and mentorship, largely due to our common bond of horses and media. We look forward to planning the next conference in Texas scheduled for May 20-22, 2021.
