Equine Media Association Logo Contest

The AHP Board of Directors invites members and fans to participate in our logo contest for the official logo of our proud association’s new name – Equine Media Association!

Entries are due by October 15, 2026. The winner will be announced December 1, 2026 and recognized with praise and adoration at the 2027 Equine Media Conference (May 20-22, 2027 in Bend, Oregon).

The designer of the selected log will receive a complimentary conference registration to the 2027 annual conference in Bend, Oregon. The designer will also have the opportunity to present the logo during the conference and receive recognition as the logo designer, the opportunity to present at a conference session on logo development, logo placement throughout the event and promotional materials, including event marketing on the website and in communications, as well as press release distribution. Explanation: Include a creative brief explaining the thought behind your design and how it represents the Equine Media Association.

Submission(s) must include: the association name (Equine Media Association) and a version must include the organization’s tagline (Promoting Excellence in Equine Media).

Orientation: The design should include a horizontal and vertical version, or a shape that will work well for both orientations. Also consider how the logo will adapt for additional needs, such as a favicon.

File Types: Vector file required for final version.

  • JPG, PDF, PNG files are accepted for review.
  • Quarter page – 300 dpi – are accepted for review.

Font: AHP does not have a specific font set. There is no font set or size requirement.

Colors: AHP’s color set is available, but use is not mandatory. There is no color minimum count or maximum color limit.

  • Design should include an all black logo (no background/transparent background) and an all white logo (no background/transparent background).
  • Designers may also recommend complementary secondary colors.

Multiple Entries: Designers may submit multiple entries.

All entries must be created solely by the entrant using traditional design methods. The use of generative artificial intelligence software or platforms to generate the logo is strictly prohibited. Entries found to use AI‑generated designs or similar platforms will be disqualified. The committee understands that popular design tools, such as Adobe Illustrator may employ AI at various stages to assist the user. Programs that incorporate AI are allowable, and AI may be used for finessing an original design.
