Learn by doing with Driving Digest , North America's only independent, self-supported magazine devoted exclusively to carriage driving. Now in its 45th year of publication, Driving Digest is an award-winning, bimonthly publication serving readers across the United States, Canada, and beyond.
We're seeking a Publication Intern to work directly with the Editor/Publisher and gain hands-on experience in every aspect of magazine production. This is not a "coffee and copies” internship. You'll be immersed in running a niche publication from start to finish.
What You'll Do
Advertising & Marketing
Research and identify potential advertisers, businesses, and events Design ads based on your skills and interest Editorial & Content Creation
Pitch feature ideas and event coverage Conduct interviews and write articles or recurring columns Secure and organize photo assets Proofread and assist with copy editing Subscriptions & Reader Engagement
Help troubleshoot subscriber questions Support reader communication and retention efforts Sponsorship Development
Identify cost-effective promotional and sponsorship opportunities Digital & Social Media
Maintain the online Calendar of Events Update Club Listings Expand the magazine's Facebook presence through posting and engagement Archival & Research Projects
Build a searchable article database of past titles and authors What You'll Gain
