Additional Activities, Duties and Responsibilities:
Help to produce and manage the company's annual collector festival, BreyerFest (http://www.breyerhorses.com/breyerfest/). This role will assist with the development and management all aspects of the large scale event including, but not limited to: bottom line/P&L, entertainment and guests, vendors and rentals, and ticket and product sales to achieve maximum attendance and profit goals, as well as promote the overall love of the horse. Help to create plan and manage all other promotional events throughout the year. Create successful formats for retailers that will enable them to host successful in-store Breyer events. Concept, develop, manage and implement additional promotional events, such as grass roots consumer events, that will create awareness of and enthusiasm for all horses, grow Breyer brand recognition and affinity, increase customer loyalty, grow the model horse hobby, increase sales, and promote goodwill.
Skills Attributes and Qualifications:
3-5 years of progressively responsible event management experience - preferably in consumer festivals, fairs and promotional consumer and retail events; not in corporate function/meeting planning. Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills to manage staff, vendors, volunteers and temporary help are essential. Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Proficient with all relevant and standard Microsoft programs including, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc. Knowledge of NetSuite a plus Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is critical. Must be a team player but also function well as an independent contributor in a reliable, dependable and responsible manner. Must be resourceful, detail oriented, a problem solver and possess a strong work ethic and high level of pride in their work product. Must be able to handle multiple activities concurrently, prioritize well and accept event P&L responsibilities. 20% travel required. Equestrian background and experience with live animals at events is preferred.
Must live in the northern NJ area or be willing to relocate. This position requires the candidate to be in our attractive top-quality facility.

We are seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to help manage and grow our experiential brand events for consumers, collectors and retailers. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Events Coordinator will help to develop and produce brand-building festivals, events and marketing promotions at various locations throughout the US and Canada, resulting in high attendance and strong participant engagement, product sales and brand affinity.
The Events Coordinator will collaborate with the Events team to concept and implement innovative plans to create consumer awareness of and engagement with the Breyer brand and horses by working with the equestrian industry and the model horse hobby. In addition, the Events Coordinator will provide retailers with the marketing tools and information to host successful retail events that build their Breyer business and increase sales and expand their consumer base.
The successful candidate will have experience planning, coordinating and running both indoor and outdoor consumer-focused festivals, fairs or horse shows, rather than meetings, trade shows or corporate functions.
