Key Responsibilities
Communications
Assist in the development and execution of member communications across multiple platforms, including email, website, and news sources. Draft and edit content for member emails, press releases (AP style preferred), Reined Cow Horse News magazine, and event scripts. Coordinate messaging timelines to ensure consistency and accuracy. Support storytelling efforts that reflect the NRCHA brand. Collaborate with internal teams to gather and translate information into clear messaging to the NRCHA membership and industry outlets. Assist the media team with on-site content and event coverage. Event Production
Plan and execute the production elements for NRCHA premier events, including but not limited to draw parties, banquets, ceremonies, and hospitality events. Develop run-of-show and on-site execution for events listed above. Coordinate with vendors, announcers, and staff during the events. Maintain consistency in presentation and branding on behalf of the association. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP style preferred. Event production experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HubSpot, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Suite or similar tools is a plus. Experience with photography or visual content capture is a plus. Interest in the Western performance horse industry is highly desirable.

The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) is seeking a Communications & Production Coordinator to support the organization's growing communications efforts and event production needs. This role plays a key part in shaping how NRCHA connects with its members, partners, and fans while helping bring high-quality event experiences to life.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with an eye for detail, an understanding of the Western performance horse industry, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
