Educational/Professional Qualifications
An ideal candidate will be studying for or have graduated with an undergraduate degree such as Communications, Marketing/PR, or Business. Preferably 1-3 years of professional experience working in-house or at an agency in the Marketing, Communications or Social Media Department. Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, and incredible client management skills Strong organizational, internal communication, time tracking, and project management Knowledge of social media platform trends and strategy; strong research skills Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and passion Social media content creation and ideation experience General knowledge of horse racing and/or equestrian industry preferred General knowledge and passion for social media and digital marketing
Time Commitment: This is a part-time hourly position.
GSS, The Agency, is a remote agency without a brick-and-mortar location. This position will require a suitable home office or remote workspace.

Overview GSS, The Marketing Agency, seeks a driven and passionate individual who is enthusiastic about delivering first-class client services across the horse racing and equestrian industries. This individual is a highly organized self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and embraces diversity in their daily tasks to help Account Directors and Senior Account Directors provide smooth and timely delivery of quality marketing services, including research, profile management, content creation, and live event coverage.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully planning, creating and publishing social media content. This person will be a true team player who is passionate about horses, a quick learner, and organized enough to assist with multiple tasks for a variety of teams and clients, simultaneously.
A positive work ethic, flexibility, and an open mind are key to success in this role.
This position will involve working closely with all team members and reporting to the Senior Account Directors. This is a part-time, remote (preferably California or Arizona-based) position with periodic event travel required during the summer and fall.
Overall Duties
Support Senior Account Directors in executing day-to-day management of GSS client accounts Support Directors in executing project timelines/deliverables and providing first-class client service Identify industry and social media trends and come to the table with new and unique ideas to support client goals Develop creative content for Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Assist in developing and following content calendars that execute social media strategies Prepare weekly status documents and take notes on client status calls, utilizing project management software including Monday.com. Monitor client social media channels for live engagement and proactive community-building opportunities Assist in developing comprehensive social media data and analytics reports with actionable insights Create content from iPhone videography and photography, using software such as Canva or CapCut. Identify client issues and concerns and partner with Account Directors and Exec Team to address issues and come up with solutions Provide remote live event coverage assistance and join the team at select live events
