Overview
The American Paint Horse Association seeks a Director of Marketing & Digital Content to help develop and drive marketing, videography and creative strategy for the APHA family of brands, which includes the non-profit American Paint Horse Association, its wholly owned for-profit subsidiary Marked For Greatness Properties LLC and the charitable American Paint Horse Foundation. The rule includes developing and executing creative strategy and marketing support, coordinating and producing assets that support brand storytelling and the organization's strategic plan, and supervising digital marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced videographer and marketer with at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience; has outstanding communication skills; is adaptable to a fast-paced, multi-faceted organization's needs; and has a passion for brand storytelling, the Western lifestyle and Paint Horses.
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing and videography roles, with a portfolio of published clips; experiencing managing employees is a plus Experience in content creation using Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc) is required; experience in Meta advertising, graphic design, and Mailchimp or similar email marketing clients is a plus Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex or willing to relocate to the area; some travel required, along with on-site work at multiple annual equine events Strong teamwork and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, including through both written and visual storytelling across various channels Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute marketing plans Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects Passion for brand storytelling, promoting and preserving the Western lifestyle, and providing meaningful experiences with Paint Horses. Equine experience/background preferred—preference given to candidates with a background in Western and/or stock horses

Provide planning and leadership to the marketing department that promotes, preserves and provides meaningful experiences with Paint Horses through traditional and digital media, including an emphasis on videography.
General Duties
Develop the annual marketing and membership plans for APHA, including strategic market planning and market research Develop and coordinate the marketing budget Prepare product marketing plans for product introductions, including asset development Develop ongoing relationships with key opinion leaders, exhibitors, trainers, members and other equine leaders to maintain APHA's leadership position in the equine world Report on marketing and membership strategy group activities to Sr. Director of Communications Help manage digital presence, including web and social media, with emphasis on and expansion of video and visual messaging
Specific Duties
Work in concert with Sr. Director of Communications to develop a cohesive communications strategy for APHA, APHF & MFG Properties across all platforms, including development of performance goals and specific marketing support for: APHA Marketing MFG activities World Show Marketing Halter Million Marketing Eastern and Western National Shows American Paint Horse Foundation horseIQ International Ranch Horse Association Lead marketing strategy and development, including the creation of marketing plans and timelines. Assist in maintaining a consistent branding strategy for APHA/MFG and related assets across all platforms and media Coordinate and produce video-based promotional materials for the association, MFG Properties and associated initiatives, including live webinars, digital learning courses, Hall of Fame videos, commercials/promotional videos and more Assist in conceptualizing, creating and deploying digital marketing materials, including emails, newsletters, mailing list maintenance, etc. for internal and external deployment. Supervise social media initiatives, digital advertising and report/analyze metrics Develop and maintain an operating budget that supports the marketing plan and the association Assist in managing marketing-based interns and/or intern projects Help manage associated digital assets, including equipment, raw footage, produced assets, etc. Develop and maintain relationships within the industry to keep abreast of trends, changing demographics and other relevant issues in the equine industry, and support customer-service needs
