The American Paint Horse Association's HorseIQ is changing the equine education game, and it’s not just horsemen who are taking note. The American Business Association recently honored the interactive learning system with a Silver Stevie® Award in the Technical Innovation of the Year category—Organizations With Up to 100 Employees.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the USA are eligible to submit nominations—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.
“We’re glad to know that others see this initiative for what it is—a creative solution to supporting the best judges, trainers and exhibitors in the equine community,” said APHA Executive Director Billy Smith.
Bringing the APHA rulebook to life with interactive videos, explanations from top judges and even judge-it-yourself modules, HorseIQ makes learning easy and fun. Unlike DVDs or books, the program allows for updates and changes as horse competition continues to evolve. Whether you’re aiming to improve your trail score or coaching a horse judging team, HorseIQ is a powerful tool to add to your arsenal. Learn more about the program at aphahorseiq.com.
“We're so proud that APHA was honored for their innovation,” said Becky Sterling, President of CD2 Learning—the company managing the project for APHA. “They are the first professional horse association to offer judge and show training using web-based technology. This innovative approach will better establish a continuity of standards as well as an increased knowledge base and communication across the industry as a whole. They are setting a new standard for professional associations developing online learning and professional development products.”
More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. “Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
