Protequus LLC, a biomedical engineering and data science firm, selects Glenn T. Werry as Director of Sales to spearhead sales efforts in support of NIGHTWATCH®, the world’s first smart halter™. The hiring of Glenn follows Protequus’ announcement last week of receiving regulatory clearance in the United States (US) and Canada to commercialize this Internet-of-Things (IoT)-enabled device for horses.
Glenn T. Werry (Lexington, KY) is a fourth generation purebred show stock breeder and highly accomplished equestrian who holds multiple world titles across English show horse and pony breeds. Prior to joining Protequus, Glenn spent the majority of the last decade with industry-leading, Morton Buildings, Inc, as a Manager and Sales Consultant focusing on the equestrian community. His passion for horses and commitment to their well-being is what attracted Glenn to the NIGHTWATCH program. “It’s truly an honor to be part of the NIGHTWATCH team. To get in on the ground level with a brand that has limitless potential is both exciting and humbling. I am confident we are going to have an enormous impact on the lives of many horses,” says Glenn.
Over the next few months, Glenn will be building a team of highly-qualified, field-based Key Account Managers across English, Western, Sport Horse, and Racing disciplines to support the launch of NIGHTWATCH. If you are passionate about horses and the people who care for them, highly professional and motivated, have a strong rolodex of relationships, and are willing to travel extensively to introduce this potentially life-saving device to key stakeholders (ie, riders, trainers, owners, veterinarians), then submit your resume to email@example.com.
NIGHTWATCH (www.nightwatch24.com) is the World’s first smart halter (optional safety collar) designed to save a horse’s life by alerting caretakers via text, phone call, or email at the early signs of danger/distress, such as colic. This IoT-enabled device (US Pat # 9,629,340) continuously monitors real-time data on a horse’s vital signs and behaviors, works across 3G/cellular and Wi-Fi networks, offers GPS tracking, and continuously adapts to each horse over time through machine learning to maximize precision and benefit. Insight to real-time and historical information, including a horse's Equine Distress Index (EDI™) score, is available on-demand 24/7 via an intuitive smartphone application and web dashboard. NIGHTWATCH is offered exclusively by Protequus and will be commercially available to horses domiciled within the US and Canada in January 2018, while future plans include expansion into Europe and other regions outside North America.
