HIPICO Santa Fe Names John McQueen Show Manager for 2018 Santa Fe Summer Series
HIPICO Santa Fe is pleased to announce award-winning horse show manager, John McQueen and Queenie Productions as Show Management for the 2018 Santa Fe Summer Series, July 18 – August 12, 2018.
McQueen brings a world of experience and enthusiasm to the job, explaining his commitment to trainers and exhibitors as organic. “I have stood at the in-gate, as both a rider and a trainer, for forty years - so caring for riders and trainers is paramount for me. I remember all the managers who cared for me when I was training and competing. I have walked in their shoes.”
With the highest Hunter/Jumper judging qualification granted by the United States Equestrian Federation, McQueen has judged major competitions and finals throughout the country. He has managed and produced top-rated national competitions for twenty years. In addition to his in-depth knowledge of all facets of the horse industry and an impeccable national reputation, he is committed to outstanding service for all competitors, sponsors, and spectators. This ethic is a natural fit for HIPICO Santa Fe, which inaugurated its Exhibitor Relations Committee in 2016, incorporating trainer and rider insights and suggestions into its planning for the Santa Fe Summer Series.
“I’m always available to listen to both compliments and complaints,” McQueen explains of his approach to show management. The partnership between HIPICO Santa Fe and Queenie Productions will help us to build upon our commitment to providing the finest course designers, judges, and stewards in the sport of showjumping, as well as a season of great prize money and expanded circuit awards.
Mr. McQueen has successfully managed numerous horse shows throughout the U.S., including Gallop Around Louisiana Show Series in Folsom, LA; the West Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association Shows in Germantown, TN; Gallop in the Glen in Knoxville, TN; GO Shows in Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa Rendezvous Horse Shows in Tulsa, OK; and The International in Omaha, NE, home of the 2017 World Cup Finals, where he currently serves as Director of Sport Operations.
