Clinton Anderson of Downunder Horsemanship is excited to announce a partnership with Michael Miola and the legendary Silver Spurs to campaign the 5-year-old AQHA and APHA stallion Epic Titan. Epic Titan, better known to his legions of fans simply as Titan, is by NRHA Hall of Fame Sire Colonels Smoking Gun out of NRHA Hall of Fame Mare Princess In Diamonds.
Titan earned early fame through the video training series “Titan: A Legend in the Making” that Anderson made available to the world via his YouTube channel. The series chronicled the training of a reining prospect and followed Titan’s career. The stallion’s popularity took on a fever pitch when he won the Cactus Reining Classic Open Derby in March with a score of 233.5 and earned co-reserve champion honors in the NRBC Classic Level 4 Open Finals with NRHA 5 Million Dollar Rider Andrea Fappani in April.
Silver Spurs is best known in the western performance horse industry for its world-class breeding program that was established in 2005 by Michael and Michelle Miola. Today, Silver Spurs is the largest private owner of Quarter Horse stallions in the world, standing 35 stallions that dominate the sports of reining, working cow horse, barrel racing, Quarter Horse racing and halter.
“Silver Spurs prides itself for being on the cutting edge of breeding and only offering the finest breeding stallions. After I saw Titan compete, I knew I couldn’t make that claim without owning him,” Miola said. “He was certainly something we were aggressive about obtaining and having a partner like Clinton is the most magnificent thing to have happened to Silver Spurs in a long time as we continue our mission to provide the best in breeding.”
Anderson believes that joining forces with Silver Spurs was essential to ensure Titan’s continued success. “About every 10 years, a horse comes along that changes an industry, and we believe Titan has the potential to do that for the reining world,” Anderson said. “I have the highest respect for Michael and what he’s done with the stallions in his care. Titan is a very special horse to me, and I know he’ll be in the best of hands with Silver Spurs.”
Titan is currently standing at ESMS on the Brazos in Weatherford, Texas to fulfill his 2018 breeding contracts and is slated to go back into training with Fappani in September with hopes of competing in the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show in November. In 2019, he’ll stand at Silver Spurs. Details about his stud fee and booking information will be released soon. However, Silver Spurs is taking reservations now to breed to Titan for the 2019 breeding season. Silver Spurs may be contacted at 480-563-1966 or firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve breeding slots while they last.
