Western Horseman magazine has launched a redesign of its website, westernhorseman.com. Easy to navigate and user-focused, the improved site presents the publication’s online content in a fresh format. The design enhances enjoyment of the quality photography, video and writing that users expect from the award-winning publication. The site emphasizes how Western Horseman and its legendary brand continues to dedicate itself to horses and the authentic, Western spirit by connecting with a digital audience.
The site features how-to horsemanship articles and video to help the at-home rider with their stock horses, whether in the ranch or the ring; behind-the-scenes stories from top events in the Western world; an all-new “New Releases” section for music, phone app and book reviews; and photos from the travels of Ross Hecox, Western Horseman editor in chief.
Visitors can still find their favorite blogs, including horsewoman Kelli Neubert’s musings on a trainer’s life in “Neu Perspectives” and “Road Stories” collected from Western Horseman editorial staff on story-gathering trips across the West.
Additional web material features ranching, training and horse health-related articles that supplement content available every month in the award-winning magazine, honored as Best Overall Publication in the American Horse Publications Equine Media Awards contest in 2017 and 2018.
“This project has focused on what our readers and users want,” says Ernie King, Western Horseman publisher. “Our digital team has worked long and hard on this revamp. The new websites represents the quality that Western Horseman readers have come to expect in our 83 years of publication.”
