50th Anniversary Contest Winner Announced

In conjunction with the American Horse Council’s (AHC) 50th anniversary celebration, this week AHC announced the winner of its 50th Anniversary Membership Contest. Congratulations were given to Robert Lindgren who won a John Deere S240 Lawn Mower, valued at $2,600!

Mr. Lindgren is an owner and breeder in Minnesota who owns Honey’s Sox Appeal the #3 all-time money earner at Canterbury Park. When asked about his win Mr. Lindgren replied, “I’m shocked!” Mr. Lindgren says he joined the AHC so that he would be up to date on tax and legislation in the horse industry.

The announcement was made Tuesday during the AHC’s 50th Annual Meeting by AHC President Julie Broadway. Mr. Lindgren will be getting his new John Deere from a local dealer in his area soon.

The AHC and NTRA Advantage sponsored this contest through the AHC Advantage Plan.  This plan offers significant discounts on brands including: John Deere, Nationwide, Sherwin Williams Paints, Office Depot, UPS, RedBrand Fence, Dover Saddlery, Premier Equestrian arena footing, Triple Crown Nutrition, US Rider, and SmartPak.
