EQUUS Foundation Announces “GIVE FROM THE HEART” Partnership with Hylofit

The EQUUS Foundation is proud to announce its "GIVE FROM THE HEART" partnership with Hylofit to promote the overall health and well-being of America's horses. The Hylofit System is a wireless equine wearable for monitoring the heart rate of horses designed to maximize communication between horse and rider.

"We are thrilled to share the Hylofit System with EQUUS Foundation Guardian charities," said Lynn Coakley, EQUUS Foundation President. "Use of the Hylofit system will provide insights into the emotional and physical state of horses who are being re-trained for new careers and horses in therapeutic environments aimed at improving the well-being of people."

"Heart rate acts as the voice of the horse, providing critical information to improve training results and promote the overall health and well-being of your horse," said Kate Motley, Hylofit Co-Founder.

"In each gait, and at rest, your horse's heart rate tells a story. Our horses deserve to have a voice. Hylofit helps give them one."  The Hylofit System is simple to use and requires no charging.

For the inaugural program year, the EQUUS Foundation selected five EQUUS Foundation Guardians to receive a Hylofit System, complete with a free app membership. The selected charities will be responsible for providing feedback and data to evaluate the benefit of using Hylofit.

The five participating EQUUS Foundation Guardians include: Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation, Palm City, FL, Gleneayre Equestrian Program, Lumberton, NJ, Kentucky Equine Adoption Center, Lexington, KY, New Canaan Mounted Troop, New Canaan, CT, and Special Spirit, Shadow Hills, CA.
