Friend of Sound Horses (FOSH) has revamped their digital magazine, The Sound Advocate. It has switched from bimonthly to quarterly, and it is also now being published on Issuu where readers can enjoy turning the pages for the latest news on flat shod, gaited horses. For those that do not care for the turning page format, a pdf will be available on the FOSH website, www.fosh.info. Back issue can also be seen there. While the magazine is normally a member benefit, the complete edition of Issue 1, 2020 is available for everyone to view online at https://issuu.com/fosh_1/docs/issue_1_2020.
Along with the updated format, FOSH has hired Stephanie Ruff as the editor of The Sound Advocate. Stephanie brings with her over 30 years of experience in the equine industry. She is also the managing editor of Arabian Horse Life, the membership magazine of the Arabian Horse Association. In addition, she has written hundreds of articles for a wide variety of magazines and is the author of two children’s books - Goats With Coats and Antics in the Attic - under her previously married name of Corum.
The Sound Advocate also has limited openings for freelance writers interested in profiling members and supplying original content to the magazine. For more information, email Stephanie at email@example.com.
About Friends of Sound Horses: Friends of Sound Horses (FOSH) is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) non-voting member organization. Its purpose is to provide information to the public about the humane care, treatment and training of gaited horses, with a special emphasis on the Tennessee Walking Horse, and to promote the exhibition of the flat shod and barefoot gaited horses at competitions designed to showcase the natural gaited pleasure walking horse.
