Appaloosa Horse Club Partners with the National Reining Horse Association

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is excited to announce it has formed an alliance with the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA).  Founded in 1966, the NRHA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of the reining horse in a fun-filled, family atmosphere. It serves as the standard setting body for the sport of reining worldwide.

“We are excited to work together with the NRHA to increase Appaloosa horse participation in the sport of reining,” said ApHC Executive Secretary, Lynette Thompson.

Through this partnership, the ApHC and NRHA will work together to offer promotional and educational opportunities to their members.

The NRHA is the acknowledged authority for reining competitions, and has established fair rules and judging procedures which are widely recognized and accepted throughout the world. The NRHA judging system is recognized as the leading format for judging an equine event that combines technical and stylistic elements coupled with consideration of "degree of difficulty."
