The American Quarter Horse Association appoints Patty Tiberg as chief marketing and business development officer.
The American Quarter Horse Association welcomes Patty Tiberg of Fort Worth, Texas, as the Association’s new chief marketing and business development officer. Tiberg begins her role with the Association on October 5.
As the AQHA chief marketing and business development officer, Tiberg will be responsible for the development, execution and management of sales, marketing and product management strategies for AQHA products and services. She will oversee AQHA’s marketing, sales, partnerships and product management teams. Tiberg will also be responsible for developing and executing company sales and marketing plans and planning for the Association to secure new contracts with new customers, as well as manage ongoing contracts.
“We are thrilled to add Patty to the Association’s team,” said Craig Huffhines, AQHA executive vice president. “She is a wealth of knowledge with a proven track record of developing and executing strategy, vision and creativity that drives brand recognition and revenue. Her diverse industry background and strong equine industry relationships will truly be an asset to our talented team.”
Tiberg boasts a striking resume, which includes being the vice president of Morris Equine Group where she oversaw the group’s media brands, events and associations, including Western Horseman, Barrel Horse News, Quarter Horse News, Western Lifestyle Retailer, the National Barrel Horse Association and Road to the Horse. During her 20 years with the media group, she also held the roles of group publisher/publisher, general manager and marketing director.

I look forward to expanding AQHA’s visibility as the leading breed association by leveraging the Association’s strong content, products and partnerships to support the needs of a worldwide membership with varying interests.”
Tiberg received a bachelor of science degree in animal science from Texas A&M University.
