Equestrian Skill Builders LIVE with Laura Kelland-May

Special Guest – Linda Hauck of Tapestry Equine Products

Laura Kelland-May is excited to have Linda Hauck of Tapestry™ Equine Products as a guest on Equestrian Skill Builders Live January 9th, 9:30 am Eastern. “As part of our regular live broadcasts I try to incorporate business people who have made an impact in the equestrian community. I think Linda Hauck is one of those people,”  says Kelland-May.

The Equestrian Skill Builders Live broadcast was developed by Kelland-May to provide a resource for horse owners and riders and can be found on The Equestrian Skill Builders Facebook Page and on Kelland-May’s YouTube Channel. “Interviewing equestrian professionals who can help all riders and horse owners is my goal,” says Kelland-May.

Linda Hauck of Tapestry Equine Products™ and Spursuader™ has a long history of equestrian achievements including Eventing at the Advanced level and obtaining her Thoroughbred Racing Trainers License. As she says on her TapestryEquineProducts.com site, she has “many thousands of hours watching and riding horses!”

With many years experience dealing with sensitive thoroughbreds Hauck developed her first product, the Spursuader™ spur which was designed for the sensitive horse. “As a student of horsemanship and horsemastership,” Hauck says, “we owe it to our horses to try our best to understand their facial, body and emotional cues.” The design of the Spursuader™ spur meant less stress for the horse and rider which led to a more comfortable ride.

When asked about her patented Tapestry™ Comfort Girth, Hauck says, “Years of watching ‘girthy’ horses and how they moved uncomfortably under tack led me to the design.” Being an advocate for the horse, Hauck believes in providing comfortable products which make sense from the horse’s perspective. These can make the horse comfortable and will ultimately improve performance. We will discuss these and other issues related to the horse’s comfort and how they can affect your training and performance.

Equestrian Skill Builders Live is a live broadcast and viewers are encouraged to ask questions and comment on the information that is being discussed. “We, my co-host, Patricia Jellerson (USEF “R” Judge) and I, try to cover four main topics which include riding and exercises. We also include special featured guests who have made an impact on horses and their riders,” says Kelland-May.

“I am honored to have Linda Hauck as a special guest this week. It will be exciting to speak with an innovator, business developer and someone who can help riders understand how their horse is feeling and be an advocate for the horse,” says Kelland-May.

Equestrian Skill Builders Live is on Facebook and YouTube. If you miss the live broadcast, Kelland-May says, “not to worry, you can catch the replay, but I encourage you to join us live”.

Laura Kelland-May is an Equestrian Canada Senior Judge (Jumper, Hunter, Equitation and Hack), Senior Steward, Competition Coach Specialist, High Performance Trained and is the host of the weekly live broadcast Equestrian Skill Builders Live, from her YouTube and Facebook pages.
