Manna Pro Sponsors SpiritHorse International Equine Assisted Therapy

Therapeutic horsemanship sponsorship nurtures lives of people worldwide through the healing power of horses

Manna Pro announces the sponsorship of SpiritHorse International Equine Assisted Therapy in supporting the organization’s mission of using therapeutic horsemanship to nurture the lives of people with special needs.

“Honoring the season of sharing joy and giving back, we’re proud to support SpiritHorse International Equine Assisted Therapy,” shared Teri Nichols, Equine Brand Manager.

“Nurturing Life is important to us at Manna Pro, and SpiritHorse International does just that.  By giving back to their communities through use of horses in their therapy programs they enrich the lives of those they impact,” added Nichols.

Manna Pro, a nationally recognized leader in animal care, offers innovative products, exceptional quality, and unparalleled customer service to customers and consumers. The company’s product lines, mainstays in barns nationwide, span from the market’s most popular horse treats, to its flagship brand, Calf-Manna®.

“We are grateful and appreciative of Manna Pro’s sponsorship of SpiritHorse International. Because of their support, we can continue to help more people worldwide and educate them about how the many benefits of equine assisted therapy can improve the lives of people with special needs,” noted Ric Lehman, President and CEO of SpiritHorse International. “We look forward to working with Manna Pro in their mission of Nurturing Life.”

SpiritHorse International, a non-profit training and credentialing organization for therapeutic riding instructors and centers worldwide, was founded in 2002 by Charles Fletcher. Because of SpiritHorse Centers’ worldwide therapy programs, thousands of people are now speaking, walking, and enjoying immense improvement in their quality of life.

Some of the many conditions treated at SpiritHorse International centers include autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, post traumatic stress disorder, learning disabilities, and speech impediments. Individual treatment protocols are created for each participant based on their unique diagnosis and goals.

Mallory, who suffers from Down syndrome, is an example of how the SpiritHorse therapeutic riding program enhances quality of life. Before participating in the program, Mallory was very shy and experienced muscle weakness that commonly occurs with Down syndrome. As a result of her treatments with Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Wildwood, MO, a certified SpiritHorse Riding Center affiliate, Mallory has significantly improved her muscle strength.

Lulu Bobolin, Executive Director, Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Wildwood, MO, shared Mallory’s transformation, “And now when she gets here she runs through the door. She says ‘hello’ to everybody. So it has just made her an outgoing personable, little girl.”

Mallory’s experience is just one of SpiritHorse International’s many successes in nurturing people’s lives through the healing power of horses.
