Unbridled Thoroughbred Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Diane Parker as its new Executive Director. Unbridled protects Thoroughbreds from exploitation and slaughter and provides a haven for Thoroughbreds in transition and in need of Sanctuary.
Diane comes to Unbridled with a wealth of knowledge and an extensive background in the field of finance and management. For over 15 years, she has participated in the business of breeding and racing and maintains a strong relationship with the New York Thoroughbred Community.
“Since first reading the Black Stallion in my youth, to the stories of Jane Smiley and Laura Hillenbrand, I have always dreamt of a life with horses,” says Parker. “From my dreams to my current reality, horses have provided me with the greatest thrills of my life — from actually owning, riding, riding to hounds, and finally to breeding and racing Thoroughbreds,” Parker, added. “It is with enormous pleasure that I join Unbridled in order to give back to the wonderful beings that have highlighted my reveries.”
Unbridled was founded in 2004 by Susan Kayne to accommodate the retirement of Sandy Goldfarb’s notable NY-Bred racehorse Stalwart Member. The organization was an initiator of the responsible aftercare movement. Since its founding, Kayne has handled the day-to-day operations. “I am overjoyed to welcome Diane to Unbridled, her experience and expertise are a blessing of epic proportion at a pivotal time in our growth,” said Kayne. “With Diane overseeing administrative matters, I will be able to focus on expanding our life-saving campaigns and educational programs.”
Unbridled Thoroughbred Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity. It is the only Thoroughbred Foundation in the USA to be Accredited in threefold by the American Sanctuary Association (ASA), Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS), and Equus Foundation.
