The Harness Horse Youth Foundation will conduct a summer educational program at the Red Mile on July 20. A day filled with harnessing, hitching, guest speakers, a tour of the Stable of Memories and live racing are on the schedule for the first HHYF stop. Other locations this summer include the Jay County Fairgrounds in Indiana, Bloomsburg and Gratz Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania, and Gaitway Farm in New Jersey.
“HHYF programs provide unique opportunities for young people who love horses and racing” explained Adam Bowden HHYF President. “We are happy to offer our summer events but realize that our efforts are only possible with the great financial support from so many as well as our volunteer trainers who make sure the HHYF stable is in top shape to hit the road.”
