Announcing EQUUS Film & Arts Fest West at the 2022 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver Colorado

EQUUS Film & Arts Fest is proud to announce our partnership with the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver Colorado, February 24 – 27, 2021 at the National Western Complex, 4655 Humboldt Street, Denver, Colorado.

For 30 years, the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo has entertained and educated horse lovers of all breeds and disciplines. Organized by the Colorado Horse Council, the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo is the council’s largest annual fundraiser. The 2022 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo Charity is Ronald McDonald House in Denver.

EQUUS Film Fest will bring an exciting collection of equine films and documentaries to the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver. With a special screening of the new documentary from Executive Producer, Robert Redford, “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses”.

Equus will highlight the Mustang Discovery Ride project that will be working westward in 2022, heading into Colorado in the summer. Connecting with the riders and Mustang lovers as they head west through the state.

Other documentaries and films scheduled will include Lady Long Rider, Cowboys: A Documentary Portrait, and many more. Cowboy’s Creative Producer, Felicitas Funke, will present the film, meet with the audience, and offer Q&A, after the film. “Cowboy’s” was produced and directed by filmmakers and working cowboys Bud Force and John Langone. “The Fall” from UK based filmmaker, Nathan Horrocks, tells the story of one Steeplechase jockeys’ journey back from a life changing fall, addressing mental health issues in horse racing. With a focus on the power of healing horses and the horses of the American West, we promise there will be something for everyone who loves everything equine.

The fest will include invited authors and artist from the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest 2021, along with Colorado authors and artist. Partnering with the Colorado Horse Council to bring a fun new educational addition to this established horse expo.

The EQUUS Team of Diana De Rosa (Press Link) Attending as correspondent for EQUUS TV, Julianne Neal (JA Media) Film Director for the Mustang Discovery Ride project, will be available for interviews.

Bruce Anderson, Natural Humanship clinic will also be on the program with a screening of his documentary “The Edge: Bruce Anderson Natural Humanship”. “The Edge” explores the work of Bruce Anderson, native of Trinidad and Tobago, and the programs that he has created over a lifetime of work with horses and people. Anderson also explores environmental and societal issues facing the world today.

 The EQUUS Film & Arts Fest highlights and rewards the diverse and creative efforts of those who pay artistic homage to the horse. Every horse has a story, it’s our mission at the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest to share those stories, through film, art and literature.

 The Mustang Discovery Ride will take us on a journey across the United States, coast to coast, on American Mustangs. Riders, Hannah Catalino and Lisanne Fear, will cover 12 states taking 12 months, with the assistance of their support crew. Starting in Delaware in September and ending their journey on the California coast next year. Both girls are trainers who have taken part in the MHF Trainer Incentive Program (TIP). Hannah travels the world as a Mustang Ambassador and trainer doing “Wild Horse Workshops” & Liberty Training Clinics.
