One Week Left to Nominate a Therapy Horse for Hope in the Saddle’s Therapy Horse of the Year Contest — Deadline: Dec. 7, 2021

Therapy horses make an incredible difference in the lives of so many. Hope in the Saddle, along with prize partners Nutrena®, a division of Cargill, Inc., and Tractor Supply Company, are helping recognize their amazing work through the fifth-annual Therapy Horse of the Year contest. Show your appreciation for a horse hero by nominating them to win a $1,100 prize package.

To nominate a horse, visit hopeinthesaddle.com/page/therapy-horse-of-the-year and briefly explain why the horse you’ve chosen deserves to win. The winning therapy horse will be selected by Hope in the Saddle, Nutrena and Tractor Supply based on the overall appeal of the entry. The 2020 winner of the Therapy Horse of the Year contest was Ella, a therapy horse at Leg Up Farm in Mount Wolf, Pennsylvania.

The winner will be announced on December 17, 2022. The prize package includes 1,000 pounds of Nutrena Horse Feed, a $250 gift certificate to Tractor Supply, a Hope in the Saddle jacket, a 12-month subscription to any Equine Network magazine and a 12-month subscription to any Equine Network on-demand video training platform. Three runners-up will also receive a prize package.

“Therapy horses are undeniably changing lives,” says Hope in the Saddle Program Manager Lauren Feldman. “They are often the catalyst for first words, first steps and first smiles. This contest allows us to recognize these incredible animals that give so much.”

The contest is now open and will run until December 7, 2021. For more information and to enter, go to hopeinthesaddle.com/page/therapy-horse-of-the-year.
