As the temperatures continue to drop and year-end deadlines wrap up, it’s always a time for reflection and gratitude for the past year. Megan Arszman would like to send warm wishes for a happy holiday season and positive vibes for a successful new year to all her clients and fellow equine industry professionals.
“Whether 2021 treated you well or offered some valuable lessons, I hope we can all come away grateful and excited to see a new year,” says Arszman.
After winning two American Horse Publications Equine Media Awards in 2021, Arszman has reflected on how her business has morphed from being a dedicated freelance writer for the past 16 years to combining her writing skills with new marketing lessons for a new venture. Now, Arszman has immersed herself in the stallion marketing realm, taking on new clients as retired Thoroughbreds make their way into the breeding industry. It’s a new venture she is anticipating to be a continual learning, and entertaining, process.
“I’m not one to say, ‘New year, new you,’ however I do feel the new year will see some big changes in terms of the direction of my communications company, but my dedication will still be with the equine industry,” she says. “I’m still going to be writing and hope to continue building upon my experience there, but I’m looking forward to working with new clients helping them grow their own name and reputation.”
New clients for Arszman include multiple graded stakes winner, and earner of more than $2 million, stallion Sleepy Eyes Todd, who will stand his first season at Swifty Farms in Seymour, Indiana, as well as writing press releases and managing connections for the multiple other stallions at Swifty Farms like American Pastime and Sombeyay.
“I’m flattered that Sleepy Eyes Todd’s owner, David Cook, reached out to me to help him manage and market his beautiful stallion,” says Arszman. “It’s invigorating to work for someone just as passionate for the industry as I am, and he’s extremely passionate about his horse.”
For now, though, she’d like to thank all of her clients for making 2021 a successful and fulfilling year, and hopes all of her clients, colleagues and friends have a joyous season filled with health and happy memories. Cheers to 2022 and hope to see everyone in Lexington!
