Achieve Equine Welcomes Andrew Hoy To Team FLAIR™

In February of 2022, Achieve Equine, LLC welcomed eight-time 3 Day Eventing Olympian Andrew Hoy to Team FLAIR. Recently awarded the title of ‘Most Successful Eventer in Olympic History,’ Hoy is the record holder for the most Olympics competitions of any Australian athlete. Achieve Equine is proud to announce the newly formed partnership with Team Hoy Eventing to support and educate riders of the benefits of FLAIR® Equine Nasal Strips, a product Hoy has been using on his horses for over a decade.

Learning to ride at the age of six, Hoy has been a force in the top levels of the International 3 Day Eventing community for over forty years. In 2021 alone, Hoy added a Team Silver medal and Individual Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to his overall Olympic medal count: three Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze. Hoy has also had many successes outside of the Olympic ring, including 5* wins at Kentucky, Badminton, and Burghley.

“High performance is all about marginal gain and supporting the horse’s health and well-being in the best possible way,” said Hoy when asked why he uses FLAIR Strips. “The use of FLAIR Strips has for over 10 years been an important piece of our ‘Horse Management jigsaw puzzle’ – all parts together allowing the horses to stay mentally and physically healthy and perform at their best.”

Hoy has partnered with many fantastic horses over his career helping him earn his current FEI Eventing Ranking of 21st in the World. Among his 2022 lineup of horses is the impressive Vassily de Lassos, a 2009 chestnut gelding owned by David and Paula Evans, and sired by Jaguar Mail. Together, Vassily de Lassos and Hoy have achieved many great accolades including a Silver and Bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Following their successes, Vassily de Lassos was granted the Equiratings Horse of the Year Award for 2021.

Two strong mares round out Hoy’s top three horses for 2022. Bloom Des Hauts Crets, a 2011 Bay Mare owned by Odaria Finemore that has been with the Hoy Eventing team since February of 2018. Creevagh Cooley, a 2008 Bay Mare that is owned by Paula and David Evans and joined Hoy’s string of horses at the end of 2019 and completes the trio.

Hoy kicked-off the start to a busy year competing at Montelibretti from February 28- March 13. Riding three of his top horses, Hoy had some great finishes, piloting one of his great mares, Creevagh Cooley, to a 6th place finish in the CCI3*-S, and a 4th place finish in the CCI4*-L. Hoy and Bloom Des Hauts Crets rode their way to an impressive 2nd place finish in the CCI3*-S. Later this year, Hoy has his sights set on the World Championships in Pratoni, Italy in September.
