PATH Intl. Names Zoetis Inc. Official Equine Health and Wellness Partner

The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), a federally registered 501(c)(3) that leads the advancement of professional equine-assisted services (EAS), is announcing Zoetis Inc. (Zoetis) as its newest sponsor at the platinum level and Official Equine Health and Wellness Partner.

As the leading company in the world fully dedicated to animal health, Zoetis has developed trailblazing equine care products for more than half a century through one-of-a-kind products like Quest® Plus Gel, Dormosedan® Gel, Pro-Stride® APS device and Core EQ Innovator®. The company is continuing its work to advance equine care and support to help horses live healthier, happier lives while making advancements across their continuum of care by bringing horse caregivers the science, support and guidance they need.

“The team at Zoetis is inspired by the work of PATH Intl. and its members,” said Jen Grant, Head of Marketing, Zoetis U.S. Equine. “Our opportunity and profound responsibility to support the horses and their care team who do so much for every EAS client is a central part of our purpose.” The two groups recently teamed up to bring more awareness to EAS through the inclusion of an EAS session in Zoetis’s recently released video, Long Live the Horse, and a feature on how horses help humans heal in an article by the Washington Post.

“The association is extremely honored to partner with Zoetis,” said Kathy Alm, Chief Executive Officer, PATH Intl. “For 70 years, Zoetis and its legacy companies has been committed to delivering the highest-quality animal health products and services. This includes a deep dedication to horses, their owners and equine veterinarians. Their dedication to the welfare of horses in all life stages aligns beautifully with the core values of PATH Intl. Every PATH Intl. center will agree their equine vets are one of the center’s greatest assets. The equines accepted into programs are one in a million, really. This makes their long-term health and well-being critical to a center’s ability to offer services to those in need. We thank Zoetis for their partnership.”

“PATH Intl. embodies Zoetis Equine’s Long Live the Horse rallying cry by supporting its members and stakeholders through rigorously developed standards, credentialing and education,” said Grant. “Our partnership recognizes the enormous impact horses make on our lives, and thus the profound obligation we as their caregivers have to provide for their well-being and comfort in return.”

PATH Intl. credentialed professionals and members can look forward to exciting educational content from Zoetis across all PATH Intl. platforms, including a new column in the award-winning PATH Intl. Strides magazine.

“The support and sponsorship of an industry leader like Zoetis sends a powerful message about the growing appeal of equine-assisted services,” said Kaye Marks, Director of Marketing and Communications, PATH Intl. “We will work together toward common equine welfare goals while aligning various strategies to improve not just the health and well-being of the humans engaged with EAS, but also that of the nearly 7,000 horses in the industry.”
