Texas Cowboy Entrepreneur, Scott Knudsen will be in Freedom, Oklahoma July 15,16 and 17 to film location videos for his television/radio show called Freedom Friday. The videos will be used to market the forthcoming Oklahoma feature film Freedom.
Anita Waggoner, former Freedom area resident/business owner and partner in Rocking A Rodeo Company, is helping Scott Knudsen organize the event.
Stock contractors will bring their best bucking bulls from as far away as Salina, Kansas. Bull riders (including a female bull rider) will come from Oklahoma and neighboring states. Jay Smith from Enid, Oklahoma is the barrel man. Oklahoma bull fighters Wacey Murrow, Cody Renshaw and Tyler Forell will be at the Freedom town arena to protect the riders. Oklahoma stock contractor, Phil Sumner, the original owner of the famous bull Bodacious is one of the judges. The crowd will surely image they are at a PBR event. We are talking to local charities about serving rodeo hamburgers and cool drinks during the event.
The Freedom Bull Riding Extravaganza will open with the theme song from the Freedom film. The excited Cowboy Entrepreneur video production team will capture the Heartland Spirit and portray the authentic country/cowboy way of life at the event. This will be a first-class production that will bring momentum to the Freedom movie, and lead to a television series.
Freedom movie scenes will be filmed in late September 2022 at Gloss Mountain Resort near Waynoka, Oklahoma. The Cowboy Entrepreneur and his team will be at the resort on Friday July 15 to video the location. He will film his visit with resort owners and ride horseback across the land to get a true feel of the Freedom story. Scott plays the supporting role of Tim in the Freedom film.
The Cowboy Entrepreneur and his video production team will move to downtown Freedom early Saturday morning, July 16. Scott will meander down Main Street. He will tape interviews with the local mayor and residents and stop at the Mercantile Café for a cup of coffee. The downtown Freedom tour will take him to the Cowboy Monument at the park and a local feed lot where he will interview the individual he portrays in the movie. Later that evening Scott will make an appearance at the Freedom Bar where a fish fry is scheduled.
