Benefits of Equine-assisted Services (EAS) for Older Adults

Horses and Humans Research Foundation invites you to participate in a free webinar on October 12, 2022 at 7:00pm (EST).

Horses and Humans Research Foundation’s (HHRF) will be hosting another free webinar on October 12th at 7pm Eastern Time.  Join us for a discussion of the benefits of EAS for Older Adults! Pippa Hodge, BSc, HPCS and Jacqueline Ryan, BA, MD share their work incorporating PUEM (physiotherapy utilizing equine movement) with the older adult population. They have completed a pilot study to assess outcomes of their work and promote the use of EAS for this population. Learn about the emotional, physical, and overall wellness benefits these participants are experiencing through EAS!

Pippa Hodge BSc Rehab., HPCS. Pippa is a Physiotherapist who is on the faculty with American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) and is one of the founding members of AHA. She works at Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association in Langley, BC, Canada where she has a Physiotherapy practice using Hippotherapy. She is a Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA) Coach and a CanTRA Examiner.

Jacqueline Ryan BA, MD. Jacqueline is a medical doctor with a focus on preventative healthcare, community health and medical research. She is an active member at Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association and loves the time with children and adults of varying abilities.
