RRP’s First Footing Silent Auction, Sponsored by OCD Pellets, Features Racing Star Shoes & Boots

According to the Scottish tradition of First Footing, the First-Foot is the first person to enter the home of a household on New Year’s Day and is seen as a bringer of good fortune for the coming year. In that spirit, the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) announced today its First Footing Silent Auction, sponsored by OCD Pellets, will open for bidding at 9:00 AM EST on December 30.

Featuring horse shoes worn by some of racing’s most elite stars, equestrian footwear, and some additional unique items, the First Footing Silent Auction will kick-start 2023 fundraising for the RRP and support its mission to increase demand for Thoroughbreds in careers after racing.
