ReedPop produces some of the biggest pop culture events in the world and this job plays an important role in bringing those experiences to life. You will work directly with the Marketing Director and Event Director to develop and execute the marketing strategy to drive brand awareness and attendee acquisition for EQUITANA USA. Our ideal candidate is a positive, dynamic, results-driven marketing expert with knowledge/expertise in the equine industry. We are looking for a creative thinker and a problem solver – someone who can deliver innovative marketing plans that fans will love and be capable of executing them. You’ll have the opportunity to craft marketing plans that cover digital, traditional, influencer, guerrilla, and ‘word of mouth’ marketing for highly engaged audiences. You will also lead the design and production process for a variety of projects including print advertisements, digital campaigns, event signage, social media content, and more. EQUITANA USA is the premier North American forum that promotes the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences to enhance the horse and the equine industry; all while providing a high-quality event for those with a passion for horses. The event features education, entertainment, and a trade fair featuring riding equipment and apparel, horse care supplies, gifts, and more products and services. Throughout the year, equestrians can also experience shopping, education, and entertainment digitally through the EQUITANA USA 365 hub.


  • Develop and execute the marketing, branding and PR strategy for our EQUITANA USA event
  • Track and measure key metrics (ROI and KPIs) of all marketing initiatives and proactively keep Marketing Director informed of status and deliverables
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive paid and organic social media plan focused on attendee acquisition, retention, and customer engagement
  • Responsible for writing, designing, deploying, and tracking weekly e-mail newsletters
  • Regularly update copy, images, and announcements on the event websites and maintain, update, and monitor social media accounts
  • Develop marketing partnerships in the local markets and surrounding markets to drive awareness and ticket sales
  • Manage mobile app development and digital marketing asset creation, delivery, and strategy
  • Assist in the development and management of all press and media campaigns
  • Collaborate with outside agency partners as needed (i.e., PR team) and oversee Marketing Coordinator responsibilities
  • Create and cultivate a “one team” approach through collaboration with event management, sales, registration, operations, creative, talent/content and our brand partners
  • Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines
  • Proactively seek out the latest trends in marketing, advertising and experiential activation and recommend how to incorporate those trends into our plans to help us achieve our audience acquisition and retention goals


  • Prior experience working in equine industry and/or with equestrian brands preferred
  • College degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years marketing consumer products, event marketing or relevant and related experience required
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be comfortable building marketing plans for B2C audiences with strong experience in digital marketing, consumer insights, social platforms, brand positioning, and marketing analytics
  • Experience and knowledge of digital marketing and advertising, including but not limited to social media, email, display, and search advertising
  • Experience running targeted, high-return ad campaigns, specifically on Facebook is preferred
  • Professional level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) preferred
  • Ability to travel 6-8 times per year domestically (and possibly internationally)
  • Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for pop culture, fan communities and the brands we work with
  • Ability to work flexibly on different events. Our marketing team is very collaborative, so you may be asked to work on additional ReedPop events as bandwidth allows to assist those shows throughout the year.
