Adulting with Horses Podcast Launch

Adulting with Horses, a new podcast with the adult amateur equestrian in mind, launched in June 2022 as an NSFW podcast for women. As crazy horse girls, we don’t take ourselves too seriously in the saddle or out, and our show reflects that!

Co-hosted by equine authors and crazy horse girls, Heather Wallace and Natalie Keller Reinert, episodes release on the first and third Friday of each month on all major players and the Horse Radio Network.

Adulting with Horses is an informal, conversational format. Listener Karen B. says, “It feels like I’m having a chat with friends!’ We divide the show into three to four-segment topics, but it’s unscripted. The overall mood is light and fun, but we aren’t afraid to dig into topics and give our opinions. We have a lot of opinions!

We welcome a guest host every fourth or fifth episode, or about once every two months. Guest hosts are kept secret and announced on our social media channels during the week before the themed podcast episode releases. Our segments will mesh with their area of expertise—if our guest host is a barrel racing maven, we will not invite them on to talk Burghley Horse Trials — but we want you to show another side of them to our listeners from the regular interview questions they get on other shows. If you would like to be considered as a guest host, please enter your details here: https://form.jotform.com/heatherwallace/adulting-with-horses-guest-hosts.

Subscribe and listen on the Horse Radio Network, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts and join our private Facebook group, the Adulting with Horses Clubhouse. Follow us on social media Instagram @adultingwithhorsespodcast or Twitter @AdultingHorses.

Put down the muck rake, turn up the volume, and let’s get a little weird!

About Heather Wallace

Heather Wallace is short, sassy, and bold on the ground but not in the saddle! She is on a personal journey as a returning adult equestrian to follow her passion despite struggling with anxiety, trying to balance motherhood, and build a small business. Of course, she can’t do it alone! She has Ferrous, her confidence-building pony and Delight, her heart horse and an off-track Thoroughbred who challenges her in every way.

She is the award-winning author of non-fiction books Confessions of a Timid Rider, Adulting with Horses, and Girl Forward: A Tale of One Woman’s Unlikely Adventure in Mongolia as well as the awarding winning blog, The Timid Rider.

Heather lives in New Jersey with her husband, three daughters, three rescue dogs, and her horses (of course!).

About Natalie Keller Reinert

Natalie Keller Reinert is the award-winning author of more than a dozen books exploring love, human nature, and the passions which make us tick. With an extensive equestrian background, many of her books are set in the world of horses and horse-people. Drawing on her professional experience working with Thoroughbred racehorses, mounted patrol horses, therapeutic riding, three-day-eventing, and many other equine pursuits, Reinert brings her love of the equestrian life into each of her titles.

Today, Reinert lives in Central Florida with her family, including a lazy foxhound and a white-blazed mustang named Ben.
