In addition to “Webinars with Wendy” and “Wendy’s Whinnies” podcasts, instructional books and videos, SURE FOOT Equine Balance Pads and The HAY SOAKER™, Wendy Murdoch also keeps a full international travel schedule.
In January, United States Pony Clubbers learned “Five-Minute Fixes to Common Riding Problems” from Wendy while attending their annual convention in St. Louis, Missouri. Next was a quick trip down the road to William Woods University in nearby Fulton to introduce their equestrian students to the wonders of the SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program® and the benefits of soaking hay. Then it was back east for a few days in chilly Cincinnati, Ohio for the International Hoof Care Summit. At their 20th Annual event, Wendy shared the joy of SURE FOOT with farriers and veterinarians before finally heading home.
Fortunately for Wendy, February’s travels were to warmer locales. First stop – Aiken, South Carolina for riding lessons and a SURE FOOT demo. Then it was on to sunny Loxahatchee, Florida, home of the Animal Rehab Institute (ARI). Founded in 2000, ARI offers certification programs in Equine Physical Rehabilitation to veterinarians, veterinary technicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, and others. Instructors include Dr. Hilary Clayton, Dr. Narelle Stubbs, Dr. Anna Firshman, Dr. Melissa King, Dr. Lesley Goff, Dr. Sybille Molle, and Dr. Brian Nielsen.
March takes Wendy “across the pond” to the UK for a SURE FOOT Practitioner Workshop at the Hill House Equestrian Center in Market Rasen, England. SURE FOOT Practitioners are equine professionals who have completed the training to become an Authorized SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program Practitioner. There are four levels of Authorized SURE FOOT Practitioners, with each level requiring additional training, such as this workshop.
