Supergroom Superlative Award Winners at the MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory

At Achieve Equine, we’re passionate about horses and horse health. Our “It’s About The Horse®” campaign shines a spotlight every month on a horse and their past (and current) achievements to help give our incredible equine partners a voice and share their stories. By extension, we recognize the importance of the people who care for our equine partners. Achieve Equine was proud to team up with Eventing Nation to sponsor #Supergroom Superlatives at the 2023 Maryland 5 Star Event held on October 19-22. The awards playfully acknowledged the important role grooms play in putting horses first and helping to achieve competitive dreams. These superstar grooms showed up, dug in, and did their work in typical extraordinary fashion. At the event, over 100 nominations were received for the Supergroom Superlative Awards. Winners received brand-new groom backpacks courtesy of Achieve Equine filled to the brim with category-specific goodies. The winners (and the riders they groom for) were:

Fastest braider: Sam Cuomo (Doug Payne)

Most likely to have purple-stained hands: Sarah Tompkins (Booli Selmayr)

Most likely to liniment themselves: Isabelle Bosley (Lillian Heard Wood)

Most Red Bull consumed: Alexa Duncan (Sarah Kuhn)

Last one to leave the barn at night: Ruth Rosendaul (Hannah Sue Hollberg)

An extra prize was awarded to Caroline Pamukcu’s grooms- nominated with over a dozen horses to care for!

Achieve Equine wishes to congratulate all these Superlative Grooms! Nominations for a special horse to be featured as “horse of the month” can be found here: https://achieveequine.com/nominate-a-horse/.
