NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity and World Finals

The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is proud to present the 2023 NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity from November 13 – December 9 at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. This long-awaited event is FREE for all to attend (except December 7-9) and family-friendly.

Coinciding during the Futurity is the Best of the West Tradeshow in the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall, open daily from 9-6, also free to the public. Vendors include Rios of Mercedes Boots, Western Legacy Boots, Cinch and much, much more! Select days feature a petting zoo, dog races, photos with cowboy Santa, and Mini Moo’s.

“We are expecting this to be the largest Futurity that the NCHA has ever hosted. This will include the widest and strongest range of competition that the cutting horse industry has ever seen. Out of all three Triple Crown events, the Futurity brings in the most excitement, largest crowds and most engaging rivalrys. Working with three-year-olds is a challenge in and of itself; encouraging them to compete at this level requires great talent and horsemanship, which is shown in the arena,” states Jay Winborn, NCHA Executive Director. “We welcome riders from all over the world to the iconic Will Rogers Memorial Center for this highly anticipated event.”

As the NCHA World Finals start, we are proud to announce the sponsorship of Broke Spur Ranch. The World Finals will be held November 25 – November 26 and November 29 – December 2, 2023 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the  Watt Arena. The NCHA could not be more excited about the sponsorship of Broke Spur Ranch through Shannon Lamb and James Figiel, both of whom are active competitors in the NCHA.

An exciting twist has been added to the World Finals this year with its new team competition. Each team will work not only to compete in the arena for points but also to donate items to local charities such as the Union Gospel Mission, the Tarrant Area Food Bank, and the Welman Project.

Teams have been drawn randomly and encompass one rider from each class in the World Finals and can be identified in the arena by their saddle silk. The top 3 teams will be awarded additional bonus money for their efforts.

Jay Winborn, Director of the NCHA announced, “We are thrilled to have Broke Spur Ranch as the 2023 NCHA World Finals sponsor. We look forward to the intense competition and camaraderie that World Finals competitors bring to Fort Worth. After hauling all year to qualify, these competitors represent the cream of the crop across all divisions. The levels of competition within the cutting horse industry continue to grow and flourish each year with the help of our sponsors. Good luck to each horse and rider this year.”

“It is with great pleasure and passion that we announce our partnership with the NCHA for the 2023 World Finals. We hope to make these finals engaging for all and challenge those considering getting into our sport to ask questions and get involved. We want to grow and prosper our beloved sport and next year have an even bigger and better World Finals!” explained Shannon Lamb. “It will be an exciting show with the best horses from across the nation. Please join us as we celebrate the horses and competitors that have qualified for the 2023 NCHA Broke Spur Ranch World Finals.”
