New Music From Templeton Thompson

Since she arrived in Nashville, Texas native Templeton Thompson has honed her craft as a songwriter and singer, scoring cuts by the likes of Reba McEntire, Little Texas and Jo Dee Messina, among others. Her songs have been used in such films as Dr. Doolittle 3 and in the Lifetime Christmas movie, Every Other Holiday.

Most recently her songs have topped the Australian Country charts more than half a dozen times. She’s earned the praise of such acclaimed artists as Clay Walker, Australia’s Gina Jeffreys and the legendary Michael Martin Murphey.

She’s also won over some tough critics, like Robert K. Oermann, who in Music Row magazine wrote “her zesty vocal sounds star-like. The catches and breaks in her soprano are as earcatching as her lilting melodies.” Thompson shines bright with the vocal power of Martina McBride and the crystal clarity of Emmylou Harris on her new album Get Back Up, delivering heartfelt lyrics with songs that can both make you cry and give you hope.

“We spent a lot of time on Zoom working on this album with some of my very favorite people on the planet who just happen to live on the OTHER SIDE of the world,” she laughs, citing legendary, multi-talented Australian producer Rod McCormack. McCormack and Thompson’s husband and musical partner Sam Gay produced the new project.

Her first single from the new project, “Get Back Up” is streaming everywhere now and is available for download at The album is set for release April 22, 2022.
