American Horse Publications Board of Director Nomination Criteria
- Member of American Horse Publications, in good standing.
- Believes in AHP’s mission and vision: desire to assist in the association’s future growth.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in equine industry.
- Passion for and involved currently in equine industry.
- Previously served on an AHP committee or involved in some capacity with an event/activity/program.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to offer to the board an expertise (marketing, data analysis, research, budgeting, association management, board experience, etc): based on previous experience.
- Willing and able to attend a minimum of two board meetings annually.
- Willing to serve/chair an AHP committee.
To Nominate a Candidate
Candidate must meet the above criteria. Please submit your nomination to serve on the AHP Board to Nomination Chairman, Pat Trowbridge at ptrowbridge@aimmedia.com by May 15.
Please state why your nominee should be considered for nomination to the AHP Board, how long your nominee has been involved with AHP, and any AHP committees and/or activities that your nominee has participated in.
Candidate must be notified of the nomination. The candidate will be contacted by the Nomination Chairman.
Elections
Elections will be held at the AHP General Membership Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town during the AHP “High Desert Media Roundup Conference” in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nominated candidates will be asked to review the Board of Directors Responsibilities from the American Horse Publications Bylaws: Article IV – Board of Directors (Bylaws 2018 Revision)
