AHP seeks nominations to serve on the Board of Directors. Nominating a member that meets the criteria and would like to serve on the AHP Board of Directors is a two-part process. No self-nominations are accepted.
To Nominate a Candidate
Please complete Step 1 of nomination form, share the form with the nominee to complete Step 2, then submit. Incomplete forms will be returned. Please review the nomination criteria to ensure eligibility.
American Horse Publications Board of Director Nomination Criteria
- Member of American Horse Publications, in good standing.
- Believes in AHP’s mission and vision: desire to assist in the association’s future growth.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in equine industry.
- Passion for and involved currently in equine industry.
- Previously served on an AHP committee or involved in some capacity with an event/activity/program.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to offer to the board an expertise (marketing, data analysis, research, budgeting, association management, board experience, etc): based on previous experience.
- Willing and able to attend a minimum of two board meetings annually.
- Willing to serve/chair an AHP committee.
Elections
Elections are held at the AHP General Membership Meeting during the annual conference.
