Summary:
This role will be primarily responsible for laying out all raw text & photos into fully designed articles using Adobe InDesign for the EG Media family of magazines (Horse Illustrated, Young Rider, Hobby Farms, Chickens, and annual SIPs), in accordance with the high-quality look and feel of each individual brand.
Skills:
Expertise in visual arts tools, including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Ability to design visually appealing layouts and covers Adherence to all deadlines and excellent time management skills (multiple titles may be on deadline at same time) Team player who can work easily with multiple departments simultaneously
Description:
Design covers & layouts for print & digital magazines Prepare layouts for printing by packaging InDesign files into final pre-press PDFs Profile & color correct all print images to printer specs Assist in the quality assurance of creative; improve quality art layouts by studying, evaluating, and implementing changes Collaborate among creative, editorial, management, accounting, technology and production teams Design consistent branding that prioritizes the customer experience Manage and evolve each brand's visual identity Build marketing items (house ads, web banners, editorial planners) when needed Job Type: Full time (8 hours Monday-Friday)
