Summary
The Freelance Sport Marketing Coordinator promotes high-stakes hunter and jumper classes and supports USHJA Premier events. This role manages the USHJA RSS News Feed and executes strategic marketing efforts in collaboration with internal teams and Horse Show Hosts. Core duties include promoting events, maintaining tracking systems, managing press and digital assets, and liaising with Sport Liaisons. This part-time freelance role averages 20 hours/week with compensation of $21-$25/hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sport Promotion & Coordination
Develop workflows and tracking systems for high profile classes. Coordinate with Sport Liaisons and horse show hosts to gather class info and data. Place web banners, press releases, and coordinate social/email promotions. Create and manage marketing toolkits for premier and select programs. 2. Content & Media Execution
Manage the USHJA RSS Feed, ensuring timely and relevant content promotion. Write or support press releases and cross-check content for completeness. Coordinate digital assets: banners, press, social posts, flyers, PA scripts, etc. Engage influencers for behind-the-scenes coverage of premiere events. 3. Strategic Input & Operations
Provide recommendations to enhance program visibility and promotion strategy. Research industry best practices and identify growth opportunities. Support consistent branding across events and platforms. Attend weekly check-ins with Marketing team to provide progress updates, align on priorities, and maintain transparency around event timelines and deliverables. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; 2+ years of experience in marketing, PR, or equestrian events. Familiarity with horse shows and influencer marketing highly valued. Strong writing, organization, and project management skills. Reliable internet access and ability to work independently. Additional Requirements
May include occasional travel and weekend/evening work. Must attend weekly check-ins with the Director during onboarding phase. Physical Demands
Primarily remote computer-based work. May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Some travel by air or car may be necessary.
