Mustang Magic Returns to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

January 2023 marks the return of the full Mustang Magic lineup to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The continued partnership between FWSSR and Mustang Heritage Foundation promises a unique equestrian viewing experience for all spectators at this historic event.

Mustang Magic Trainer’s Challenge, a MHF event modeled after the famed Extreme Mustang Makeover, follows 32 elite mustang trainers from across the country as they take an untouched wild horse through just 100 days of training before competing at Will Rogers Coliseum, January 19-21, 2023. This invitational event features trainers who have proven themselves in previous EMM competition and selected their horses via random draw in early September.

Like the EMM events, Mustang Magic Trainer’s Challenge competitors will work their way through 3 preliminary classes, racking up points to put them into the Top 10. Those Top 10 competitors will then compete in a Freestyle Final on January 21, 2023, for their chance at being crowned a Mustang Magic Champion.

All Mustang Magic Trainer’s Challenge horses will be available via competitive bid adoption through Mustang Heritage Foundation and the Bureau of Land Management following the competition. More information about Mustang Magic and how to adopt can be found at mustangheritagefoundation.org.

Accompanying the Trainer’s Challenge competition, Mustang Heritage Foundation is proud to bring back the wildly popular Mustang Magic Celebrity Freestyle event to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on January 20, 2023. This one-night event features 9 of the best mustang trainers in the country laying it all on the line with a unique, awe-inspiring, freestyle routine of their own creation. The Celebrity Freestyle event is one that always has the crowd on the edge of their seat to see who is crowned Mustang Magic Champion!

Tickets for both the Mustang Magic Trainer’s Challenge and Mustang Magic Celebrity Freestyle can be purchased through the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo website: https://www.fwssr.com/p/horse-shows/mustang-magic
