Horses For Mental Health Joins EQUUS Film & Arts Fest in Sacramento California, December 1 – 4, 2022

Horses For Mental Health will be joining the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest in Sacramento California, December 1 – 4,  to celebrate the achievements of “Equine Storytellers” through film, literature, podcasting, and art. Horses For Mental Health Winnie Award of $1000 will be presented to a selected filmmaker. Lynn Thomas, Co-Founder/President of Horses For Mental Health will be at the Fest to present the award. Thomas will also take part in a series of Panels and Discussions at the Fest.

Horses for Mental Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to increase awareness, public engagement, funds, and access to programs incorporating horses for mental health and personal growth.

Horses for Mental Health seeks to partner with philanthropists, ambassadors, companies, governments, and programs to expand the role horses play in mental health and realize our collective vision of a world where all mental health needs are met – together.

EQUUS Film & Arts Fest welcomed an amazing selection of over 50 equestrian Feature Films and Documentaries submitted this year. With films from the United States, Ireland, France, Germany, Hong Kong and many more locations around the world.

The EQUUS Film & Arts Fest highlights and rewards the diverse and creative efforts of those who pay artistic homage to the horse. Every horse has a story, it’s our mission at the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest to share those stories, through film, art, and literature.
