New PATH Intl. Equine Caretaker of the Year Award Sponsored by Zoetis

Zoetis is proud to celebrate staff and volunteers who care for PATH Intl. Member Center equines with new award now open for nominations.

Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Member Center staff and volunteers are known for going above and beyond in the care they provide to the horses, ponies, miniature horses, mules and donkeys that serve in equine-assisted services. Zoetis, the Official Equine Health and Wellness Partner of PATH Intl., is proud to celebrate the devotion of these individuals to outstanding care through the newly created PATH Intl. Equine Caretaker of the Year Award. Regional awards and one national award will be presented in 2023.

The PATH Intl. Equine Caretaker of the Year Award is intended to recognize Member Center volunteers or staff who went above and beyond to care for Member Center equines in 2022. This award highlights those who work consistently to ensure that deserving PATH Intl. equines thrive through outstanding care that includes barn chores, feeding, grooming, medicating, first aid, hand-walking/other rehabilitation activities, assisting the veterinarian or farrier, night check, etc.

“The team at Zoetis is inspired by PATH Intl. Member Center staff and volunteers who work every day to care for the horses who make equine-assisted services possible,” said Jessica Normand, Senior Marketing Manager, Equine Pharmaceuticals and Brand for Zoetis. “The mission of Zoetis Equine is to help ensure the best-possible care of the horses who make our lives better. The equines serving in PATH Intl. Member Centers are a prime example of how human lives are unquestionably improved by these incredible animals.”  Jessica Normand is also a Trustee of PATH Intl.

“We are thrilled to recognize the tireless hours our Member Center staff and volunteers spend providing outstanding care to their most important team members — their equines,” said Kathy Alm, Chief Executive Officer, PATH Intl. “We are delighted to have Zoetis sponsor this new award to highlight our Member Centers’ commitment to helping equines live their best lives.”

Nominations are open now through 11:59 p.m. MT on December 26, 2022, for Region 7 and until January 9, 2023, for all other regions. PATH Intl. Member Centers are encouraged to submit your nomination forms to awards@pathintl.org or complete the application online.
