Achieve Equine Renews Sponsorship with Retired Racehorse Project

Achieve Equine is pleased to announce its continued relationship with the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP). Existing “to facilitate placement of Thoroughbred ex-racehorses in second careers by increasing demand for them in equestrian sports and serving the farms, trainers, and organizations that transition them”, the RRP has been sponsored by Achieve Equine since 2019. “Promoting health and safety of horse and rider are forefront in our mission at Achieve Equine,” states Jim Chiapetta, Principle and CEO of Achieve Equine, “and our mission aligns well with the RRP. We are proud to be able to support the RRP as they aid transitioning these athletes into their new careers.”

As part of the sponsorship, Achieve Equine proudly presents the People’s Choice Award at the Thoroughbred Makeover, presented by Thoroughbred Charities of America. First awarded in 2020, the People’s Choice Award is determined by audience polling during the Finale event on Saturday of the Thoroughbred Makeover, which runs October 11-14, 2023, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. As part of the over $100,000 in prize money award at the event, the People’s Choice award is sure to be a fun and exciting way for attendees to vote for their favorite TB Makeover equestrian athlete. The winner of the People’s Choice Award is able to direct a donation to an equine-related 501c(3) organization of their choice. In 2022, Prince of New York earned the title and trainer Chris Bennings directed the donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
