Congratulations go out to Team FLAIR™ Eventing riders and their horses for their recent accomplishments. Caroline (Martin) Pamukcu and HSH Connor took home first place in the CCI3*-L at the 2023 MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory in Elkton, Maryland. This win marks Caroline’s 11th FEI win this year. Other Team FLAIR riders placing in top 10 at MD5* CCI3*-L division were Lauren Nicholson and Larcot Z, placing second, and Caroline Pamukcu and HSH Tolan King placing sixth. In the CCI5*-L division, Buck Davidson Jr and Sorocaima placed ninth.
On the heels of these accomplishments, Team FLAIR members Caroline Pamukcu and Liz Halliday-Sharp traveled to Santiago, Chile to compete in the 2023 Pan American Games in Equestrian Eventing. Team USA took home silver and Caroline and HSH Blake were awarded an individual gold. Leading after dressage, Liz and Miks Master C finished up seventh individually. Despite the agonizing loss of gold for the returning champion Team USA by 0.1 penalty points, the strong riders and horses of the USA came away from the event proud of what they achieved and determined to fight hard to improve.
In other exciting international Eventing news, Andrew Hoy and Cadet De Beliard secured his formal qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic games by finishing third in the CCI4*-L division at the Strzegom Horse Trials in Poland. Also at Strzegom, Caroline Pamukcu and HSH Blake took second place in the individual CCI4*-L. Meanwhile, Back in North America in Toronto, Canada, Phillip Dutton and Quasi Cool won the Mad Barn Indoor Eventing Championships at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
