Give New Life to Old Denim with Kimes Ranch and Cotton Incorporated

Kimes Ranch Announces Collaboration with Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ Program

Kimes Ranch, the modern western denim brand, is teaming up with the Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ program for a special denim recycling initiative launching on Earth Day, April 22nd, and running through May 31st. Kimes Ranch customers are invited to bring in their old denim to their official retail locations in the Ft. Worth Stockyards and the Scottsdale Kierland Commons.

Customers bringing in denim made up of 90% cotton or more will receive $20 off their same day purchase of Kimes Ranch jeans. Old denim brought in will be recycled into insulating material used in various applications of Cotton Incorporated’s consumer sustainability program. This program includes creating pet bed inserts, building insulation, sustainable food and pharmaceutical packaging.

As a family-owned business Kimes Ranch prides itself in finding ways to contribute and give back to the community in an impactful way; teaming up with the Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ program aligns with this vision, according to Kimes Ranch Chief Marketing Officer, Lindsay Perraton. “At the heart of our business lies denim, and we take pride in crafting enduring, resilient products. Embracing ‘do good consumerism’ presents an opportunity to showcase to both new and loyal customers why our jeans are worth stepping into. By keeping denim out of landfills and repurposing it into community-needed goods, our customers not only contribute to a better world but also enjoy jeans that last far longer, reducing the need for recycling.”

About Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ Program
The Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program was created in 2006 by Cotton Incorporated as a call-to-action to reduce textile waste and turn old denim into something new. The program strives to inspire sustainable living by educating people on cotton’s natural lifecycle and engages consumers and local communities by diverting unwanted denim from landfills, helping to close the loop on cotton sustainability while emphasizing the environmental stewardship of the U.S. cotton industry at large.

Blue Jeans Go Green™ is a trademark of Cotton Incorporated.
