Five Grants to Be Awarded from The Dressage Foundation’s Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund

Originally established for group grants in 2019, the Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund was expanded in 2021 to provide $1,000 grants to riders for their Western Dressage education. Applicants can be professional, amateur, or youth. The grant review committee looks for applicants who are eager to grow and improve, have shown a passion for the sport, have financial need, and who have demonstrated a commitment to learning. Grants must be used for Western Dressage educational experiences that are not within the horse and rider’s typical training plan, like clinics or camps.

Palm said, “Each year I see more individuals who have qualified for the WDAA World Show or started a clinic series in their region or continued the education needed to judge, all from the help of the individual grants. I am so proud!”. Grant recipient Valerie Stone from Texas wrote “…Because of the generosity of the Lynn Palm grant I was able to attend this amazing clinic! Three days is not enough when you love what you’re learning! I can’t say enough about how much I discovered about Dutch and me, and how much more I want to learn and grow in our relationship. Thank you…”.

Grants from the Lynn Palm Fund will continue to be available for Western dressage clinics, camps, and symposia. Those applications are due at least 90 days prior to the event. Applications for the Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund for Individuals are due July 20.
